Re-enactment classes

Re-enactment classes are essential for the development of the Magnus Vikings. We are a relatively newly formed group and need to build our Viking skills in order to achieve our aim of promoting and education on the Viking way of life. New members are given the opportunity to develop sword skills, living history and rowing skills.

"Our training has enables us to develop sword fighting and battle re-enactment skills in a controlled and safe environment"

"We can now join safely with other re-enactors to deliver mighty battle scenes. Which thrill the crowds and are fun for the re-enactors themselves"

Viking life was not all about raiding and fighting battles. There were many crafts and skills needed for day today life. There were architects, engineers, craftsmen, shoemakers, blacksmiths, ship builders, potters, weavers, farmers and a vast array of other trades and skills.

"It has been said that the Vikings were socially enlightened because their women were free to divorce and often held great power in the homelands"

"Tablet weaving was used to decorate clothing. The more elaborate the design the higher the status of the individual wearing it"

Our re-enactment training, made possible by Awards For All, has not just given us new skills but brought a deeper understanding and appreciation of Viking life.
